Facts about 9V battery
9V battery Break down and Analysis:
Battery:
An electric battery is a device consisting of one or more electrochemical cells with external connections provided to power electrical devices such as flashlights, smartphones, and electric cars. When a battery is supplying electric power, its positive terminal is the cathode and its negative terminal is the anode.
Cell:
An electrochemical cell is a device capable of either generating electrical energy from chemical reactions or using electrical energy to cause chemical reactions.

Coming to the 9v battery
The nine-volt battery, or 9-volt battery, is a common size of battery that was introduced for the early transistor radios. It has a rectangular prism shape with rounded edges and a polarized snap connector at the top. This type is commonly used in walkie-talkie, clocks and smoke detectors.
The nine-volt battery format is commonly available in primary carbon-zinc and alkaline chemistry, in primary lithium iron disulfide, and in rechargeable form in nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride and lithium-ion. Mercury-oxide batteries of this format, once common, have not been manufactured in many years due to their mercury content.
Every 9V battery consists of 6 cells, each cell provides an electrical voltage of 1.5V . All the six cells are connected in series connection. series connection of cells resultant output is the sum of each cell voltage together,so resultant voltage is 9v.
Each cell = 1.5V
Total cells = 6
series connected cells resultant volatge is sum of their individual voltages
Vo = C1+C2+C3+C4+C5+C6
= 1.5+1.5+1.5+1.5+1.5+1.5
= 9V
Note:
1. In series connection of cells Voltages are added and Currents are remains same.
2. In parallel connection of cells Currents are added and Voltages are remains same.
